Nutritional Therapy is not as simple as being told what to eat and when; what foods are good for you and what to do if you want to lose weight or ‘get healthy’. The objective is to identify what imbalance is causing or contributing to a specific health condition and manage it in a maintainable way.

Your journey will start with an 1.5 hour initial consultation where we will get to know each other, understand what you are trying to achieve and delve deep into your health history. Prior to your consultation, you will be required to complete a medical history and lifestyle questionnaire and a 3 day food diary to ensure our time together can be utilised effectively.

Following all initial consultations, you will receive explanations of dietary and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to any symptoms along with a personalised dietary programme designed to meet your requirements.

The number of consultations necessary depends upon your individual circumstances, although it is advisable to be seen within 6 weeks of each appointment. During follow-up consultations, your progress will be assessed with any nutritional and supplement programme adjusted accounting for progress and any remaining or new concerns.

In some cases I may also refer you for a test if I feel it would allow us to gain further information about the health issue we are targeting. I have partnered with Medichecks who I can request whichever tests we agree that you would like to go forth with. These can be done in the comfort of your own home or in partner London clinics by a qualified nurse.

Nutrition Lesson

A 1-2 hour lesson teaching you the fundamentals of why your diet is going to work for you, and why it is that certain conditions arise in the human body – think of it as your own personal science lesson for your body!

Clarissa Lenherr is a qualified nutritional therapist having graduated from The College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2017 with a diploma in Nutrition. Continually sitting training and attending further learning courses to gain increased expertise, Clarissa ensures she is up abreast of new findings and developments in the captivating scientific field of nutrition.

Growing up a very fussy and stubborn eater (think cheese, white bread and junk food only!) teamed with poor lifestyle choices as a young adult, Clarissa developed numerous digestive problems.

On the search for a cure, she visited over 12 nutritionists in London, Paris and New York and was misdiagnosed with having Candida Albicans, Leaky Guy Syndrome, “IBS” and lactose, fructose, gluten intolerance which sent her spiralling into an even worse state of health through yo-yo dieting. After experimentation, trial and error and hours of research, she finally found the solution, which inspired her to further her interest and studies in nutrition.

Clarissa is passionate about educating people to discover and celebrate nutritious food, enabling clients to utilise and benefit from food and lifestyle choices in order to reach their optimum. Clarissa practices personalised nutrition, advocating the “no one size fits all” approach. With this in mind, she works closely with clients to implement personalised nutritional strategies which fit into client’s lifestyles and goals.

Clarissa is also a part time contributor to several publications such as StyleNest Magazine offering nutrition and fitness advice. She loves to spend her time experimenting in the kitchen, trying out new fitness classes, exploring new cuisines and investigating the aisles of grocery stores where she can be lost from the world for hours.
